A'Bunadh is a series that put the Aberlour distillery on the map, so to speak - the launch of this series in 1997 significantly boosted its popularity around the world.
This no-age-statement single malt comes to us all the way from the picturesque Speyside. Bottled from Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, it has a strength of 59.8% and is believed to age anywhere between 5 and 25 years old. This strength has to do with a tradition that dates back to the 19th century when villagers would come to the distillery to collect their whisky straight from the cask. They often used bottles they got from the local chemist which is reflected in the bottle's apothecary design.
