Dalwhinnie is the second highest distillery working in Scotland and although within the Speyside whisky region will sometimes be referred to as a Highland Whisky. The Dalwhinnie 1989 Distillers Edition is a testament to time-honored craftsmanship and expertise, this exclusive single malt whisky represents the pinnacle of refinement. Aged to perfection since 1989 and although not mentioned it is a 15 year old double matured in Oloroso Sherry casks. Once opened the aromas of wet grass, mint chocolate, honey and dates, the palate is slightly bitter oak, chilly spice and herbal with short finish of pepper, black tea and oak.
