Despite the confusing “Highland Malt” label, Glentromie Single Malt comes from a Speyside distillery and is a very fine whisky. The nose is rich – red fruit, prunes, and honey with slight notes of sherry thanks to the cask. The taste is soft and smooth, sweet and peppery with hints of caramel and berries, topped off with a medium-long finish.
