The Kininvie distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland in a rather unimpressive building just a couple of hundred meters from Glenfiddich and the Balvenie distilleries and thus can be easily overlooked, But make no mistake Kininvie produces some very fine single malts as this 23 year old that could compete with Glenfiddich and Balvenie if they didn’t belong to the same owner William Grant and Sons. Once opened aromas of vanilla bakes, tropical fruit and grass, the palate is vanilla, citrus, nutmeg and cinnamon, with a medium long finish of oak, cinnamon, and caramel.
