Balvenie Founders Reserve Cognac Bottle 10 Year Old (1980s Edition) (75cl, 40%)

Created by Balvenie’s Malt Master, David Stewart, the founder's reserve is a classic 10 year old Balvenie matured in both Bourbon casks and sherry casks, then married (a process of further maturation after mixing the two). The founder's reserve is now discontinued after being in the core range since the 1980s and this cognac style bottle is even rarer as this is how it was originally presented. Upon opening the aromas of citrus, white wine, ginger and honey, the palate is honey, apple, oats, vanilla, and oak with a medium finish of apple, hops, ginger and oak.
