Balvenie Signature Batch 001 (70cl, 40%)

Located in Dufftown within the Speyside region The Balvenie distillery has been producing whisky since 1893. The Master distiller of Balvenie is David Stewart MBE who is the first to create the process of ‘wood finishing’ in which the whisky is transferred to a second barrel for the last few years of its maturing to give depth and more character to the whisky. This 12 year old Balvenie signature first batch was launched to replace the 10 year old Founders reserve in 2008, once opened the scent of honey, vanilla and citrus fruit will encompass your nose, the palate is still honeyed with nutmeg and subtle earl grey tea with a short finish of citrus and dry fruit.
